The Nutcracker- a Highlight of the Christmas Holidays!
On 21st and 23rd December 2024, 150 students aged 3-8 took to the stage in a specially curated version of the Nutcracker Ballet.
It was a magical experience for our dancers, and for many of them this was their first ever time dancing on stage. From tiny little mice to tap dancing soldiers, beautiful gold Christmas angels and sparkly white snowflakes, every student had their moment to shine. Out littlest dancers were guided on stage by either our Turning Pointe teachers or one of our senior students, who took on the Principal roles of Clara, the Nutcracker, Mouse Queen, Fritz and the Sugar Plum fairy with such professionalism. It was heart-warming to see our younger students looking up to the big boys and girls!
Here is what some of our parents and audience members had to say about the show:
“I just wanted to say a massive thank you for putting on such an amazing show and giving the children such a fantastic opportunity. I can’t even begin to imagine how much hardwork it must have been for all the staff to put on such a big show. Taking part has really given ‘C’ a huge boost in her confidence and it’s made her really happy. She’s been talking about the show constantly!”
“’F’ absolutely loved the Nutcracker, and we loved watching it. Thanks so much for all the hard work that went into it - it was a real highlight of the Christmas holidays and I think a life-long dream fulfilled for ‘F’ to be a snowflake!”
“I just had to write and congratulate everyone involved the Nutcracker. I am not related to anyone involved but took my granddaughter to watch her very first live performance.
I was completely blown away by the absolute magic of the entire show. Every single performer added their own special element to show.
The teachers guided and supported young dancers with their presence without spoiling the youngsters performances. Every part of the ballet was a joy to witness.
My granddaughter was on the edge of her seat from start to finish, a testament to the quality of the whole experience.”
