Turning Pointe School of Dance

Welcome to Turning Pointe - a well-established dance school with a 50 year history.

With spacious studios in Haywards Heath, Lewes, Barcombe and Plumpton, we offer classes across Sussex in an exciting range of dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Pointe work, Modern, Tap, Street Jazz, and Musical Theatre. Boys and girls are accepted from the age of 3, but can begin at any stage up to adult.

I became Principal in 1987, leading a team of committed, experienced and highly qualified staff in a fun yet professional environment. Our pupils are prepared for RAD and ISTD exams, as well as having the opportunity to perform on stage in our famously spectacular productions. Spring Workshops, Summer Schools and theatre trips help to give pupils a rounded experience. Many former pupils have gone on to successful careers in the performing arts.

At Turning Pointe we balance high standards with a wonderfully friendly atmosphere which both pupils and parents enjoy. We hope to inspire and develop self-confidence, creativity and a passion for dance in every child that will last forever.
